Admin bets dominate latest survey

With just days away ahead of the 2025 midterm elections, a Pulse Asia survey released Monday shows candidates backed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. leading the Senate race.

The survey, conducted 20 to 24 April indicated strong support for the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas slate.

ACT-CIS Rep. Erwin Tulfo topped the list with 42.4 percent support, followed by former Senate President Vicente Sotto III at 41.1 percent, Sen. Ramon Bong Revilla with 35.6 percent and former Sen. Panfilo Lacson at 33.8 percent.

Other Alyansa candidates within the statistical winning circle included Sen. Lito Lapid (32.2%), Makati Mayor Abby Binay (30.2%), Sen. Pia Cayetano (29.9%), Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar (28.3%), and former Sen. Manny Pacquiao (28.3%).

Two other Alyansa candidates, former Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos and reelectionist Sen. Francis “Tol” Tolentino, garnered 22.9% and 15.7% respectively in the survey.

“This is a people’s surge,” said Alyansa campaign manager and Navotas Representative Toby Tiangco. “The message is loud and clear: the Filipino people want senators who will defend our sovereignty, uphold public service, and move the country forward under a shared vision for a Bagong Pilipinas.”

Tiangco said that the survey results demonstrate strong support for candidates with demonstrated conviction, competence, and commitment to the country’s interests, particularly amid concerns about foreign interference and disinformation.

“We are deeply grateful for this trust. But we’re not letting up. We’re pushing hard in this final week to deliver a clean sweep,” Tiangco said. “With the people’s support, we can deliver all 11 Alyansa candidates to the Senate.”

“This is a battle between leaders who put the Philippines first and those who don’t. On 12 May, let’s choose those who are truly for the Philippines,” Tiangco said.
