Buying sustainable products from Watsons stores not only contributes in mitigating the effects of global warming. It also helps the health and wellness store chain fund its social projects like free medical services.
Watsons sponsored the distribution of free medicines to hundreds of local residents during its medical mission at the Mandaluyong City College of Science and Technology gym in Mandaluyong City last 29 April.
Aside from giving away vitamins for children, pain relievers, antibiotics and other medicines to Mandaluyong residents, volunteer doctors also provided free medical consultations, tooth extraction and laboratory tests.
Unlike others of its kind, the Watsons’ medical mission also offered free bone density scans to help seniors with osteoporosis get corresponding prescription.
A table with three urine analyzers provided free urinalysis. There was blood sugar tests and electrocardiogram.
There was also a booth that checks hair thinning and offer free hair care products.
With Watsons as the sponsor, free soaps, shampoos and other wellness products sold at its stores were shared to those who attended the event.
