BAGUIO CITY — A woman was declared dead on arrival at a medical facility after being shot Wednesday afternoon in Sitio Tapayen, Barangay Alaoa, Tineg, Abra.
The victim, identified as Roseda Molina Allen, 39, was shot by a 34-year-old male suspect, who has not yet been named by police. Both are residents of the barangay.
According to the police report, Allen was outside her home when the suspect suddenly fired at her. Responding officers arrested the suspect within minutes of the shooting.
Seized from the suspect was a 12-gauge Armscor shotgun loaded with five live rounds. At the scene, police also recovered a spent shell and two metal pellets.
The suspect is now in the custody of Tineg Police. Authorities said cases of homicide and violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, will be filed against him.
