Deltayo Foundation, the CSR arm of customer experience service provider VXI Delta, joined hands with Davao Light and Power Company Inc., a subsidiary of AboitizPower, in celebrating Earth Day 2025.

VXI Delta workers conducted a coastal cleanup and tree planting at Cleanergy Park of Davao Light and Aboitiz Foundation in Davao City on 12 April.

The coastal cleanup drive saw volunteers collecting and properly disposing of plastic waste, discarded fishing gear and other pollutants that threaten marine ecosystems. The effort not only beautified the shoreline but also helped reduce the risks to marine animals who often ingest or become entangled in ocean debris, read a post on the Facebook page of AboitizPower.

More than hundreds of mangrove seedlings were planted as part of the effort to restore natural coastal barriers, enhance biodiversity and combat climate change. Capping off the day’s activities was a heartwarming turtle conservation session, which included an educational briefing on the importance of protecting endangered sea turtles.

Meanwhile, the Aboitiz Foundation, together with Aboitiz Land and partners, continues to help women in local communities gain skills and find new jobs in the digital world.

Through the Elevate AIDA (AI and Data Annotation) program, Aboitiz Foundation supports women by teaching them important digital skills and opening up opportunities for remote work. This helps them earn income while staying close to their families.

On 14 April, Batch 57 from Compostela, Cebu celebrated their graduation.

One of the graduates, Mary Joy Medillo Mabida, a mother of two from Barangay Cogon, Compostela, Cebu shared how the program changed her life.

“This training didn’t just teach me how to work online — it made me believe in myself. Before, I didn’t know anything about AI or data annotation. Now, I’m excited to get more training and hopefully work with Connected Women,” she said.
