BAGUIO CITY – The Supreme Court (SC) has formally charged retired Court of Appeals associate justice Isaias Dicdican with gross misconduct over his alleged involvement in the 2020 murder of Cebu-based lawyer Joey Luis Wee.
The charge stems from a memorandum issued by Court Administrator Raul Villanueva on 24 March 2025, following an investigation into the case. The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) earlier endorsed the matter to the Cebu City Prosecution Office and the Office of the Prosecutor General.
Records show that Wee was shot and killed on 23 November 2020, at the ground floor of the building where his law office was located in Cebu City.
The Supreme Court has ordered Dicdican to file an answer within a non-extendible period of 10 days from receipt of the charge.
