President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos will attend the funeral of His Holiness Pope Francis.
This was confirmed by Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro on Wednesday.
"The President will attend the funeral of the Pope," she said in a Viber message to Palace reporters.
"The President and the First Lady will go," she added.
The interment of the Holy Father is scheduled on Saturday, 26 April.
The 88-year-old Pontiff passed away on Easter Monday due to stroke and heart failure.
