ISABELA CITY, Basilan — The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), through the Ministry of Public Order and Safety, led the Provincial Security and Law Enforcement Conference (PSLEC) to address key security issues in Basilan, including preparations for the 2025 Midterm National and Local Elections.
Brig. Gen. Alvin Luzon, commander of the 101st Infantry (Three Red Arrows) Brigade, said the PSLEC took place at Farmland Resort in Isabela City on Tuesday.
The event brought together the Basilan Provincial Police Office, Philippine Coast Guard and the Armed Forces of the Philippines. The conference aimed to enhance collaboration between law enforcement, NGOs, and other stakeholders to tackle long-standing security challenges.
The 101st Infantry Brigade, Basilan Provincial Police, and the Philippine Coast Guard presented updates on peace and security in the province and shared strategies to address these issues.
