Consistent with its goals and objectives, the JGFP formed a team made up of Mindanao players. They are Adrian Bisera and AJ Wacan of Davao City, Rainer Tigwalan of General Santos City, and Mhark Fernando III of Zamboanga City.

Del Monte and Brittannika also formed and bankrolled teams for the three-day event presented by East West Bank.

The battleground is the Acacia course of the Mimosa Plus Golf and Country Club, which features well-bunkered fairways, elevated greens, and strategically-placed water hazards.
