BALANGA CITY, Bataan — District Engineer Roland Rainier Victorino of the Second District Engineering Office (2nd DEO) of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced on Friday the completion of a farm-to-market road in the remote barangay of Tanato, in this city.
In an interview, Victorino shared that the project, funded through Congressman Abet S. Garcia and in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture, involved the concrete paving of a 924.5-lineal-meter, five-meter-wide road in Barangay Tanato.
“This project will enhance rural accessibility and facilitate the transport of agricultural products for the residents of Tanato,” Victorino said.
He emphasized that the new road will benefit farmers and residents in Balanga City by improving mobility and providing better access to markets and essential services.
The DPWH Bataan 2nd District Engineer highlighted the project’s role in reducing travel time and boosting agricultural productivity.
“This road enables farmers to transport their crops and livestock more efficiently, ensuring timely delivery to markets while improving access to production areas and essential farm services,” Victorino added.
