Maymay Entrata is set to achieve another career milestone as Disney Studios Philippines hinted that she might be the voice behind the Filipino rendition of Waiting on a Wish, the theme song of the live-action Snow White, ahead of its Philippine release.
"Ang tunay niyang ganda, sa lahat naiiba," Disney Studios Philippines captioned their post, followed by, "A voice like no other is bringing magic to Waiting on a Wish. Can you guess who? ✨ Disney’s #SnowWhitePH is in cinemas March 19."
Fans were quick to speculate that Entrata is the singer behind the teaser. However, as of press time, neither Entrata nor Disney Studios Philippines has confirmed the speculation.
Originally performed by Snow White lead star Rachel Zegler, Waiting on a Wish serves as the theme song for Disney’s live-action adaptation of the classic fairy tale. The film also features Gal Gadot, Andrew Burnap, Ansu Kabia, Hadley Fraser, and Lorena Andrea.
Inspired by Walt Disney’s 1937 animated classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and the Brothers Grimm’s 1812 fairy tale, Snow White is set to premiere in the Philippines on 19 March.
