BingoPlus Foundation, Yulo teach personal branding to scholars

BingoPlus Foundation, the social development arm of DigiPlus Interactive, hosted its latest P.L.U.S. (Pioneering Leadership and Uplifting Service) Factor session on 22 February, guiding FutureSmart scholars in honing their personal branding skills. The event, conducted in a hybrid format, emphasized the importance of building confidence, enhancing credibility, and standing out in a competitive environment.

Among the highlights was a motivational virtual appearance by Carlos Yulo, the country’s only two-time Olympic gold medalist.

“I hope your workshop with BingoPlus Foundation will serve as one of your tools in achieving the best version of yourselves. While branding and personal image are important, always remember that staying true and maintaining your authentic self are the real keys to success,” Yulo said. “Don’t ever lose who you are and always look back to your old self to appreciate your wins today while striving harder to get to where you want to be in the future,” he added.

Showcasing their individuality, in-person scholars arrived in carefully curated OOTDs (Outfits of the Day). Scholar Steffi Fetalvero earned recognition for the best OOTD and received ArenaPlus merchandise signed by Yulo.

BingoPlus Foundation’s P.L.U.S. Factor session follows earlier training modules on Growth Mindset and The Power of Habits. The program aims to equip FutureSmart scholars — currently numbering 60 across the country — with the mental frameworks, communication skills, and leadership competencies needed to thrive in their upcoming professional journeys.

The Foundation is also expanding its reach by extending the program to at least ten new FutureSmart scholars in the next academic year. Applications are now open through BingoPlus Foundation’s partners, SM Foundation and STI Foundation, for qualified students enrolled in any of STI’s network of colleges nationwide.
