A tricycle driver was arrested Sunday night after selling a gun to a police officer posing as a buyer.
Police officers from the Intelligence Section of the Caloocan City Police conducted the entrapment operation along C3 Road.
According to Caloocan City Chief of Police Colonel Edcille Canals, the suspect, identified as alias “Boom-boom,” sold a 9mm caliber firearm to the undercover officer, leading to his arrest.
“The transaction occurred in exchange for 6,500 pesos, which was used as the buy-bust money,” the report said.
Upon receiving the firearm, the undercover officer discovered it was loaded with three live rounds of ammunition.
A subsequent search of the suspect resulted in the recovery of a heat-sealed sachet containing 6.1 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P41,480.
