A man was arrested inside a KTV bar in North Caloocan last Sunday early morning for carrying a gun.
Based on the information from the Caloocan City Police Chief of Police Edcille Canals, members of the police were conducting Oplan Bakal and Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) when they observed the gun-carrying man.
Officers from Substation 10 in Camarin, North Caloocan were conducting Oplan Bakal in connection with SACLEO during the police operation when they apprehended the suspect for carrying a caliber .38 revolver.
Aside from the recovered firearm, the police officers also found out that the firearm was loaded with three rounds of ammunition.
“The suspect was seen with the firearm tucked into his waistband while consuming alcoholic beverages,” the report said.
The suspect, identified as “Allen,” is a 31-year-old resident of Barangay 177 in North Caloocan.
The Northern Police District (NPD) said that an investigation is still ongoing to determine if the firearm was used in other criminal activities.
Allen will face charges in violation of the Republic Act No. 10591, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and the Omnibus Election Code, as he remains under the custody of Camarin Police Substation.
