The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), through its Water Resources Management Office (WRMO), has launched the "Wag Pataksaya Hotline" to address water-related concerns from the public and ensure proper action is taken by the appropriate water service providers (WSPs).
According to DENR Undersecretary for Integrated Environmental Science and concurrent WRMO Head Dr. Carlos Primo C. David, the hotline is an automated system designed to connect consumers to their respective WSPs, ensuring that concerns reach the right authorities efficiently and accurately.
As the lead coordinating body for the water sector, WRMO will refer concerns to DENR-attached agencies, such as the MWSS for Metro Manila, Water Districts for regional services, and the National Water Resources Board for private sector WSPs.
“They can send to us any concern, from meter readings to billing issues and water interruptions, and we will follow through with their concerns until these are addressed and resolved,” said Undersecretary David.
He clarified that WRMO does not directly handle water-related issues or provide water services but will assist in expediting the resolution of concerns brought to their office.
The WRMO was created by Executive Order No. 22, series of 2023, and is tasked with integrating and harmonizing government efforts and regulatory activities to ensure the sustainable management of the country's water resources.
To file a concern, the public may complete the National Water Service Online Form through the link: https://tinyurl.com/wrmohotline, providing their name, address, water service provider, and issue.
