Recruitment is now underway for the next batch of candidates for nurse and certified careworker positions under the Japan-Philippines Economic Partnership Agreement (JPEPA).

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), in partnership with the Japan International Cooperation of Welfare Services (JICWELS), is accepting applications for 50 nurse (Kangoshi) and 300 careworker (Kaigofukushishi) positions for deployment to Japan.

Selected candidates will undergo six months of Japanese language training in the Philippines followed by an additional six months of training in Japan. Afterward, they will begin a three- to four-year work term at Japanese hospitals and caregiving facilities. The language training is free of charge, and a daily living allowance will be provided throughout the duration of the program.

Candidates are encouraged to pursue certification for Kangoshi and Kaigofukushishi to increase their chances of securing longer employment in Japan.

The deadline for submitting online applications is 4 April 2025.
