MIESCOR seeks partnership with MORE Power for Iloilo, Negros expansion

ILOILO CITY — Meralco Industrial Engineering Services Corporation (MIESCOR) has expressed interest in collaborating with MORE Power to support the modernization and expansion of its operations in Iloilo and neighboring Negros provinces.

MIESCOR, a subsidiary of Meralco, provides engineering, procurement, construction, maintenance, and project management services. The company recently visited MORE Power’s headquarters in Iloilo City to discuss potential collaboration opportunities.

MIESCOR President Richard Ochava and other company executives, along with MORE Power President Roel Castro and COO Engr. Bailey Del Castillo, attended the meeting to explore the partnership.

"We see a tremendous opportunity to work alongside MORE Power in their expansion plans for Iloilo and ongoing rehabilitation in Central Negros," Ochava said, adding that MIESCOR’s expertise in power infrastructure aligns with MORE Power’s goals.

MIESCOR, a subsidiary of Meralco, has extensive experience in the power sector, having successfully completed numerous projects across the Philippines.

The proposed partnership includes training programs for MORE Power’s linemen and the establishment of a Utility Attachment Office to address hazardous "spaghetti wiring" in Iloilo City.

MORE Power’s Castro welcomed the potential partnership, highlighting the value MIESCOR could bring to the company’s ongoing efforts to improve power services.

This collaboration aims to enhance the region’s energy system, providing more reliable and sustainable power to local communities.
