Supreme Court (SC) Associate Justice Samuel Gaerlan has been designated as the chair for the 2026 Bar Exams.
Associate Justice Amy Lazaro-Javier, chair of the 2025 Bar Exams, announced the designation on Saturday during a talk at the University of Santo Tomas.
Lazaro-Javier noted that Gaerlan is an alumnus of San Beda University.
Gaerlan joined the Supreme Court on 8 January 2020.
Before his appointment to the high court, Gaerlan served as an Associate Justice of the Court of Appeals and before becoming a trial court judge, he served with the Public Attorney’s Office and the Department of Justice.
Lazaro-Javier also said UST will serve as the general headquarters for the 2025 Bar Exams.
