The 44-year-old male suspect, a resident of Navotas City, was arrested at C-4 Road Centennial Park, Barangay BBN.
He had been evading arrest for a statutory rape case (Art. 226-A of the Revised Penal Code, Par. 1 of RA 8353, as amended by RA 11648), docketed under Criminal Case N24-508-CR.
The warrant for his arrest, issued on 10 September 2024, by Judge Cecilia Bunagan Parallag of RTC Branch 9-FC-Navotas City, carried no bail recommendation.
The suspect was detained at the Navotas City Police Station, awaiting a Commitment Order.
“This arrest exemplifies the unwavering commitment of the Navotas City Police Station to bringing wanted criminals to justice and ensuring public safety,” said P/Col. Josefino D. Ligan, Acting District Director of the Northern Police District (NPD).
“The NPD remains resolute in its mission to hold lawbreakers accountable,” he said.
