Palayan City Mayor Viandrei Nicole Cuevas and beneficiaries of Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program thanked President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for the success of the first ever 4PH project in Nueva Ecija.
During Tuesday’s Kapihan sa DHSUD: Housing Matters, Mayor Cuevas and two beneficiaries of the Palayan City Township Project also expressed their gratitude to the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) for the successful implementation of the 4PH project in Barangay Atate.
A total of 22 buildings are being constructed in the 23-hectare development project under the flagship 4PH, with a target of around 6,300 housing units.
The Palayan City LGU has already started initial turnover of housing units in the condominium-type development, and continuously processing applicants.
By March, 1,076 units are set to be turned over to beneficiaries while an additional 1,076 units are also scheduled for completion and turn over in July.
“One of the biggest factors that made our township project successful was… of course, how affordable it was. Hindi po namin magagawa ‘yon kung hindi po dahil sa partnership po namin sa national government… and nakakuha po tayo ng subsidy through DHSUD,” Mayor Cuevas said.
She further emphasized the significance of the township concept, which includes essential infrastructure and amenities noting that this was achieved through the partnership with the national government saying, “we were able to get help from DHSUD. Para po maitayo po namin ang mga amenities and if you visit the township project, you’ll see the road networks are all developed. We have full electric and water sewage networks. All of these would not be possible without the partnership,” she added.
