A magnitude 4 earthquake was recorded in Ilocos Norte, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology on Tuesday.
The quake occurred at 10:15 PM p.m. with a depth of eight kilometer and a location of18.02°N, 120.77°E - 009 km S 04° W of Solsona.
Its origin was tectonic, or due to the sudden movement along faults and plate boundaries.
Intensity II was recorded in Bacarra and Pasuquin while instrumental intensities II and I were noted in Pasuquin and Sinait, respectively.
PHIVOLCS noted that there were no damages due to the quake, yet aftershocks may occur.
