The deadly conspiracy of wokeism and global terror has ended with a series of moves by US President Donald Trump.

The wellspring of the culture that helped impunity of vicious groups thrive which is the United Nations, suffered a fatal blow from the decisive actions of Trump.

A Trump executive order (EO) withdrew the United States from several United Nations bodies including its Human Rights Council (UNHRC), which had long shown partisan bias, particularly against Israel and the US.

The EO also withdrew Washington from UNHRC and the main UN relief agency for Palestinians called the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).

Trump also directed his administration to review US involvement in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

The withholding of critical US funding would have a jarring effect on the UN bodies.

Trump in explaining the rationale of the EO highlighted the “tremendous potential” of the United Nations but said it is “not being well run.”

UNRWA has been branded by Israel as having members who supported or were directly involved in the 7 October massacre perpetrated by the terror organization Hamas.

Trump has backed a move by Israel to ban the agency, after the US ally accused UNRWA of spreading hate material but US funding of UNRWA was halted since January 2024 by the administration of then-President Joe Biden.

Israel presented proof then that 12 of its employees were involved or abetted Hamas’ horrendous operation.

A collateral move that would end the terror rampage of Hamas is to drain Gaza Strip of the infrastructure to wield fear.

Trump said the US is arranging with Israel a plan for Palestinians to leave the Gaza Strip and announced a take over the territory controlled by Hamas during a joint briefing alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

A US takeover in Gaza is expected to quickly rebuild the ravaged territory while bringing stability to the Middle East.

Palestinians will move out of the Strip, possibly into Egypt and Jordan under the Trump proposal.

“The US will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will do a job, whether we’ll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site, level the site, and get rid of the destroyed buildings, level it out,” Trump said.

From the rubble will rise an economic zone that Trump, a seasoned property developer, said will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing for the people of the area.

Hamas’ propaganda machinery immediately went to work and called the proposal an ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians.

Trump’s vision, however, is for Gaza to be reconstructed from the devastation as a result of the war against Hamas and have the settlers enjoy a peaceful existence.

“If we can get a beautiful area to resettle people, permanently, in nice homes where they can be happy and not be shot and not be killed and not be knifed to death like what’s happening in Gaza,” Trump clearly outlined his vision.

He said the US involvement would end the terrorist stranglehold on Gaza that had made life miserable for Palestinians.

“We have an opportunity to do something that could be phenomenal. And I don’t want to be cute. I don’t want to be a wise guy. But the Riviera of the Middle East.”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised Trump’s offer saying that most people realize that what Trump is doing is right.

In a broader perspective, the foreign policy of the new US President is expected to be based on practicality and making everything move fast.

It sends a clear message to those who have exploited US indecisiveness in the past.
