Caloocan, Malabon sting ops net 5 druggies

At least five suspects were arrested by police in Caloocan City and Malabon City this weekend in various buy-bust operations.
In Malabon City, police from the District Drug Enforcement Unit of the Malabon City Police arrested alias “Speed” along Victoneta Avenue in Barangay Potrero.
The operation was conducted around 4:18 a.m. on Sunday during which 20 grams of suspected shabu were recovered, with a street value of P136,000.
In North Caloocan, a man was stopped by authorities along Kaagapay Road in Barangay 188 for urinating in public.
However, the man attempted to escape, leading to a brief chase. Upon his arrest, police recovered 20 grams of suspected shabu and a .38 caliber revolver with four live rounds.
The arrested individual will face multiple charges, including violations of Article 151 of the Revised Penal Code (Resistance and Disobedience to a Person in Authority), Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), the Omnibus Election Code and Section 11 of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Also in North Caloocan, two residents were caught by officers from Caloocan City Police Substation 11 in Cadena De Amor on Saturday night while receiving a medium heat-sealed plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance from an unidentified individual.
One of them — an individual identified as “Dem” — was arrested while his cohort escaped.
Police recovered 50 grams of suspected shabu from Dem, with a street value of P340,000.
Around 3:10 a.m. this Sunday, two residents were stopped by personnel of Caloocan City Police Substation 3 in West Grace Park for violating a city ordinance. During a lawful search, they recovered 13 grams of suspected shabu, with a street value of P88,400.
