CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — A 30-year-old woman sought police assistance after catching her brother-in-law peeking through a hole while she was taking a bath in Sitio Target Range, Barangay Carmen, Cagayan de Oro, on Saturday morning.
The woman, identified as Lyka, brought the police her brother-in-law’s shorts and briefs as evidence. She claimed that 21-year-old Rico fled half-naked after she caught him peeking through a hole in the bathroom wall while she was bathing.
Lyka told police investigators that every morning, as she took a bath, she would hear unusual sounds coming from the other side of the wall but had ignored it in the past.
However, on Saturday morning, as she was bathing, she again heard the noise. When she investigated, she discovered a hole in the wall and saw an “eye” peering at her naked body.
Lyka quickly grabbed a towel, rushed to the other side of the wall, and confronted her brother-in-law, who was half-naked. He immediately fled into a nearby grassy area, leaving his shorts and briefs behind.
She then went to the police station to file a formal complaint.
Carmen police have referred the case to the Barangay Lupon for further investigation.
