BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is set to begin a new chapter in her career after signing with American music label Warner Records, following the announcement of her debut solo mini-album, Amortage.
In an Instagram post, Warner Records shared their enthusiasm, stating, “We are so excited to welcome Korean superstar singer, actress, and member of history-making group BLACKPINK, JISOO, to the Warner Records family!”
According to Korean media outlet Soompi, Jisoo signed “an all-encompassing global solo deal” with the label.
“I’m excited about this new era and the continuation of my musical journey. I feel like I’m just getting started, and I’d like to thank the BLINKs for all of their love and support,” she said in a statement.
Warner Records co-chairman and CEO Aaron Bay-Schuck also expressed his excitement, saying the team is thrilled to work with Jisoo “as she continues to make history and inspire millions around the world.”
With this move, Jisoo becomes the fourth and final BLACKPINK member to secure a solo deal outside of the group’s groundbreaking career. This follows their 2023 decision to part ways with YG Entertainment for their solo ventures while continuing their work as one of the best-selling girl groups of all time.
