In a move to strengthen support for tricycle operators and drivers, Kaunlad Pinoy held a meeting on Thursday with the presidents of Taytay TODA Federations representing San Juan, Sta. Ana, San Isidro, Dolores, and Muzon.

The meeting, attended by key leaders, aimed to introduce the organization’s initiatives designed to uplift the livelihoods of its members.

Kaunlad Pinoy presented its key projects, including the entrepreneurship program, which provides free business education, and access to merchandise, which offers free products to kickstart small businesses. Their streamlined membership system provides access to various benefits.

“Bigyan natin ng ID card at ipasok sa database para ma-track natin yung progress nila at matulungan natin sila sa negosyo,” (Let’s give them an ID card and enter them into the database so we can track their progress and help them in business), representatives emphasized during the meeting, stressing the importance of monitoring member development for long-term support.

Among the social programs discussed were lower rice prices and free insurance for members.

“Meron tayong accidental death insurance, walang cost sa kahit sinong miyembro. Ano pa ang pwedeng itulong sa kanila? Mas murang bigas,” (We have accidental death insurance, at no cost to any member. What else can help them? Cheaper rice), the organizers highlighted, noting how these initiatives could alleviate financial burdens for drivers and their families.

The federation leaders expressed their appreciation for the organization’s efforts, with Rommelito Sanggalang, Confederation President, noting the programs as "essential in providing security and opportunities" for their members.

Kaunlad Pinoy plans to conduct regular follow-up meetings and expand their database system to ensure that all members receive the full benefits of their programs.
