Actress and TV host Toni Gonzaga took to Instagram to share a heartfelt birthday message for her sister, Alex Gonzaga, who celebrates her birthday today.

In a series of beautiful photos of them together, Toni reminisced about their childhood and reflected on their close bond.

“Happiest birthday, @cathygonzaga! Pasensya ka na kung strict ako sayo when we were growing up,” Toni began.

Toni shared how being an older sister to Alex prepared her for motherhood to her two children with husband Paul Soriano.

“Ikaw ang first hand experience ko what it’s like maging mommy. Thank you for being everything I am not. Ang saya ng childhood natin dahil sa mga kalokohan and kakulitan mo. Even to this day, you bring so much life every time you walk in the room. Even if may pinagdadaanan ka, nagagawa mo pa rin akong pasayahin. Thank you for being my best friend, my teacher at times, my enemy when needed, and my defender always,”she wrote.
