Newport World Resorts confirms news of Gordon Ramsay's January Manila visit

UPDATE: IT'S OFFICIAL! Gordon Ramsey is coming to Manila next week.

Newport World Resorts confirmed the news, first announced on Tuesday by the top chef himself on Facebook, that the global culinary star will be in Manila sometime between 20-26 January for an invitation-only dinner at his Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill at Newport in Pasay.

British celebrity chef, restaurateur, and reality show host Gordon Ramsay announced a surprise visit to the Philippines next week by way of a short social media caption.

On Facebook, Ramsay shared a post from his Gordon Ramsey Bar & Grill at Newport World Resorts in Pasay. Above a mouthwatering photo of his famous fish and chips (P1999), he casually dropped the news that he would soon be personally serving his dishes to Pinoy diners.

While the announcement was a little light on detail, what we do know for sure is that we can't wait to see what the top chef has in store for us!

Ramsay's resto opened in 2024

Gordon Ramsay's Bar & Grill has been dazzling Pinoy diners since August 2024. Situated on the second floor of the Newport Grand Wing at Newport World Resorts, the 400-square-meter restaurant accommodates up to 100 guests and offers a menu featuring British classics like the iconic Beef Wellington, grilled steaks, fresh seafood, and indulgent desserts. Alongside its culinary offerings, the restaurant provides a top-tier bar experience with high-end wines, premium spirits, and expertly crafted cocktails.

Multi-Michelin-starred chef Ramsay and Newport World Resorts chairman Kevin L. Tan announced the news after finalizing the details during a meeting in Macao.

“Having personally met Chef Ramsay at The Londoner in Macao, his larger-than-life personality and our shared enthusiasm in opening one of the most sought-after restaurants in the culinary world, strengthens our position as the most multifaceted integrated resort in the country, leading the way in elevated dining experiences for all our guests," Tan said ahead of the grand opening last year.
