BAGUIO CITY — A group of golf club members signified its willingness to partner with the new management of the Camp John Hay (CJH) Golf Club by filing a motion to withdraw its case against the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA).

BCDA president Joshua Bingcang said they welcome the decision of club members to withdraw their complaints against them, leading to a seamless transition and improvement of facilities in this golf estate here.

Bingcang said the withdrawal of the complaint before the Baguio Regional Trial Court is a positive step towards the smooth transition of the 247-hectare property from a private firm headed by businessman Robert John Sobrepeña to the government-owned and controlled corporation.

Following the successful recovery of the CJH Golf Course, a new consortium formed by Golfplus Management Inc. and DuckWorld PH has been tapped to assist the BCDA in managing the golf estate facilities for the interim period.

Bingcang expressed confidence in Golfplus and DuckWorld PH, saying that their engineers, designers, and maintenance experts are more than capable of bringing world-class services and facilities to CJH Golf Club.

“We want to assure the public that new and former players will continue to enjoy premium golf course services and that the workforce will be taken care of by our new interim partners,” Bingcang stated.
