The Daily Tribune couldn’t resist joining the buzz around Cha Panda at Changsha, China, the fresh fruit tea brand that just leveled up its game with Cheng Yi as its global ambassador.
Cha Panda isn’t just about its iconic mascot. This tea brand is a go-to for refreshing drinks that fuse natural fruits, premium ingredients, and traditional Chinese tea craftsmanship. With Cheng Yi at the helm, Cha Panda is set to make waves.
For the unacquainted, Cheng Yi is more than a familiar face in Chinese entertainment. Born in Huaihua, Hunan Province, this multi-talented actor and singer burst onto the scene in 2011 with the television series Beauty World while still in college. He graduated from the Central Academy of Drama the following year and made his film debut in Haunting Love.
Cheng Yi’s accolades speak volumes. In 2016, he bagged the Newcomer Award at the 7th Donews Award ceremony. Fast forward to 2 November, 2023, and Cheng Yi clinched the Outstanding Young Actor Award for his stellar performance in Mysterious Lotus Casebook at the 19th Annual Chinese-American Film & TV Festival. Notably, he was one of only two recipients of this honor that evening.
Beyond acting, Cheng Yi has also proven his musical prowess. He made his solo debut in 2017 with the single Goodbye to the Past.
