CDO activates eight first aid stations in “Translacion routes”

The Feast of the Black Nazarene, also known as the Traslación, is one of the most significant religious events in the Philippines, particularly in Quiapo, Manila. It is celebrated every 9 January, commemorating the transfer or translation of the image of the Black Nazarene from Intramuros to the Quiapo Church in 1787.

Cagayan de Oro City — The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (CDRRMD) on Wednesday activated eight first aid stations along the routes of “Translacion 2025”, the annual Feast of the Black Nazarene in the city.
Nick Jabagat, CDRRMD manager, said in an advisory that the first aid stations were established in compliance with an executive order issued by Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy. The directive mandates the department to immediately respond to the medical needs of devotees in case of emergencies during the Translacion.
The first aid stations are located at the Kiosk, VIP Hotel, City Central, Caltex, Landbank, Bangko Sentral, Centrio Corrales, and Centrio Vicente Roa.
“The first aid stations will respond immediately to devotees in need of urgent assistance during any emergency throughout the procession,” Jabagat said.
