A documentary film about the iconic Filipino band Eraserheads, titled Combo On The Run, will hit theaters for a limited release from 21 to 23 March.

Directed by Diane Ventura, the film offers an in-depth depiction of the band’s journey to becoming one of the legendary acts in Original Pilipino Music (OPM) history.

The documentary goes beyond their rise to fame, uncovering the untold story of their painful split and the struggles they faced.

“Notorious for their guarded aloofness, I’m incredibly lucky and grateful to have witnessed these men allowing themselves to open up in ways people have never seen them,” Ventura said.

“Their candidness and forthright honesty were a gift. It wasn’t just cathartic for them; it was transformative for me as a filmmaker and audience member,” she added.

The Eraserheads, composed of Ely Buendia, Raimund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala, and Marcus Adoro, are known for timeless hits such as Ang Huling El Bimbo, With A Smile, and Ligaya.

The band reunited in 2022 for their historic concert, Ang Huling El Bimbo, which drew an estimated 60,000 fans.

Following their Philippine concert, the band brought their iconic show to fans in the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East.

Combo On The Run promises to offer fans a rare glimpse into the personal and professional lives of the Eraserheads, chronicling their struggles, triumphs, and enduring legacy in the music industry.
