While power outages occur due to ongoing upgrades to the electric distribution network, the company has been working hard to modernize the infrastructure it inherited from CENECO.

As part of its five-year rehabilitation and modernization program, Negros Power is focusing on revitalizing the aging infrastructure. Recognizing the challenges these outages create for the community, the company has gone beyond its typical role of providing electricity. In a move that’s winning praise, Negros Power is also bringing hope and joy to the affected areas.

To connect with the community and ease the frustrations caused by the interruptions, Negros Power organized the “Negros Power Saya sa Barangay” events. These gatherings included fun games, raffles, and community celebrations that brought joy to residents.

The events were met with excitement as families enjoyed the activities, won prizes, and shared moments of happiness despite the inconvenience of power loss. Residents expressed appreciation for the company's thoughtful gesture, noting that this kind of engagement from a public utility company was rare.
