Negros Power eases rehab impact

Central Negros residents experienced a different kind of energy as Negros Power organized community events to ease the impact of ongoing power interruptions caused by the rehabilitation of the electric distribution network.

As part of its five-year modernization plan, Negros Power has been upgrading aging infrastructure inherited from Central Negros Electric Cooperative Inc. While the improvements are essential for long-term reliability, they have also caused temporary outages, inconveniencing consumers.

In response, the company launched the “Negros Power Saya sa Barangay” initiative, a series of events featuring games, prizes and community celebrations. The initiative aimed to uplift affected residents and foster a sense of unity during the rehabilitation period.
