Camp Lapulapu, Cebu City — In recognition of its commitment to excellence, the Visayas Command (VisCom) has been awarded the Seal of Excellence after securing its second recertification status under the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Transformation Roadmap Institutionalization Pathway (AFPTRIP).
The prestigious honor was presented during the 89th AFP Anniversary celebration last 20 December at Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
VisCom commander Lieutenant General Fernando Reyeg PA personally accepted the award, symbolizing VisCom’s steadfast commitment to good governance and organizational excellence.
The award was presented by AFP chief of staff General Romeo S. Brawner Jr. following VisCom’s overall rating of 96.43 percent in the recently concluded AFPTRIP deliberation.
Reyeg expressed his profound appreciation to every member of VisCom for their unwavering commitment and teamwork.
“This achievement reflects the collective effort and dedication of every uniformed personnel, civilian human resource, and partner-stakeholders of VisCom,” Reyeg said.
“It demonstrates that excellence is not merely an objective, but a standard we continuously uphold, driving us to consistently exceed expectations and set new benchmarks in our operations,” he added.
VisCom’s journey in the AFPTRIP began with the attainment of its Initiated Status on 2014, followed by Compliant Status on 2016, Proficient Status on 2017, and Institutionalized Status on 2019. On 19 September 2022, VisCom was conferred with its first recertification status, further cementing its transformative leadership within the AFP.
“This recognition marks a pivotal moment in our journey, signaling not just past successes but the promise of continued growth. This will drive us to further elevate our performance, as we continue to strive to adapt and innovate in the face of evolving challenges,” Reyeg said.
