
A habal-habal driver from Cebu won a brand new Honda motorcycle donated by senatorial bet Chavit Singson for use as livelihood.
“I never expected to win, I was already the 20th call for the raffle draw, I’m very much thankful to Senator Manong Chavit Singson for my new livelihood motorcycle,” says winner Bonifacio Semeros Jr.
In an exclusive interview with DAILY TRIBUNE, Semeros Jr., 39, said he loaned his current motorcycle service for his family’s livelihood.
“I’m a habal-habal driver for more than five years and this Honda Beat will help me more in our livelihood,” he stressed.
Bonifacio Jr. is married to Victoria Luz Semeros, 33. They have four children — Shinji,14; Kenji, 8; Amarah, 6; and Von 1.
The family presently resides in Casili, Consolacion.
“Salamat....Salamat...Manong Chavit,” Semeros yelled.
Semeros is stationed daily at JY Square mall in Barangay Lahug, Cebu City.

He cited earning daily which averages P500-P700, from 8 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon.
Semeros was one of the 10,000 habal-habal drivers, who attended the Cebu City Habal-habal summit held 7 December at the South Road Properties.
Singson was one of the guest speakers invited during the summit.
