The local government of Valenzuela City will assign additional cops after a murder case unfolded in the city last week.
In a Facebook video, Valenzuela City Mayor Weslie Gatchalian said that at least 30 more policemen will be deployed to intensify police visibility in Valenzuela City.
In addition, more 24-hour police checkpoints will be created in Kabesang Imo, Barangay Balangkas, and Barangay Malanday.
“Our facility is open and fully operational for residents who have been addicted to illegal drugs,” Gatchalian said, urging drug users to visit Balai Banyuhay, a drug rehabilitation facility in the area.
