The Bureau of Corrections on Friday announced that the College Education Behind Bars inside the property of the Davao Prison and Penal Farm in Panabo City, Davao del Norte will open next month for persons deprived of liberty students who wish to take up entrepreneurship courses.
BuCor director general Gregorio Catapang Jr. said that the program — which was planned four years ago with an estimated budget of more than P30 million — was funded by the Dangerous Drugs Board, Commission on Higher Education and donations through Social Entrepreneurship Technology and Business Institute.
