A mother from Palo, Leyte could not forget the most memorable moments of her life. Jojiena Silva started 2024 with a dream fulfilled. She painstakingly worked hard to realize her dream of owning a house.

After 12 years, Silva finally completed her monthly amortization for her awarded unit at the Palo Housing Project, Baras in Palo, Leyte.

Being selected as a housing beneficiary of the National Housing Authority (NHA), through the guidance of General Manager Joeben Tai, was one of the most memorable moments in her life. This led her to be committed to settling her full payment for her housing award by paying religiously the monthly amortization and paying in advance the remaining principal balance whenever she had extra cash.

With every peso she saved through strict household budgeting and wise frugality, she was able to conquer the challenges of home ownership, and her perseverance paid off.

Fueled by her vision of a safe and comfortable home for her family, Silva never wavered her devotion to her obligation to NHA.

This story of home ownership isn't an isolated one. Thousands of families already benefited from the various housing programs of the NHA nationwide.

For 2024, the NHA encourages all its housing beneficiaries to settle their dues to prevent penalties and incurring interest. Awardees may settle their amortization via digital payment platforms such as Maya app Philippines, Link.BizPortal, or through the nearest NHA office that covers their area.

With relentless determination and faith in action, home ownership is achievable, according to Tai.
