After being closed for several hours due to the collision of two aircraft, involving Japan Airlines and Japan Coast Guard planes, Haneda International Airport in Japan is now open for commercial flights.

According to the MIAA, it was past 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, when Haneda International Airport resumed its operation and re-opened its three runways for commercial flights.

MIAA said due to the incident that happened at Haneda International Airport, PAL flight PR424 was delayed on Tuesday evening, and several passengers were stranded at NAIA Terminal 1 for more than three hours. However, the PAL plane was able to depart Manila past 10:00 p.m. on the same date.

On Wednesday morning, Philippine Airlines (PAL) flight PR422 was the first flight to depart from NAIA Terminal 1 at around 8:40 a.m. bound for Haneda, Japan.

According to the MIAA, the flight operation at Haneda International Airport does not have a significant impact on its passengers because the airport uses four runways.
