A security guard was found dead on Wednesday inside a bank in Las Pinas City.
The guard was identified by Las Piñas City Police as Rene Gegabine, 44 years old, and a resident of Imus, Cavite.
According to the Police report, Jose Catalan, who is also a security guard at the bank, arrived to change duty hours with Gegabine. Upon his arrival at the bank to check-in, Gegabine did not respond.
Not receiving any response from Gegabine, Catalan forcibly opened the main door and noticed that the victim was not around. He proceeded to check the pantry area where he discovered Gegabine's lifeless body lying on the floor.
Investigators Police Senior Master Sergeant Glen Acaba and Police Corporal Mark Edwin Orongan reported that the Scene of Crime Officer led by Police Lieutenant Jefrey Bilog confirmed that there were no reported physical and external injuries based on the examination.
Acaba stated that the victim's death might be related to his illness.
"Catalan informed us that the victim has high blood pressure. We consider this a possible cause of his death. There is still no confirmation of Gegabine's cause of death as we await the results of the autopsy," Acaba said.
