BAGUIO CITY — SM Supermalls — through SM Foundation Inc. — recently provided at least 4,000 Christmas packs at different areas in North Luzon which promotes SM's culture of volunteerism, the activity brings happiness and spread social good to the different communities in the region.
At SM City Baguio, a total of 250 city garbage collectors and 65 street sweepers at Transfer Station in Tuba, Benguet received food packs, while SM Supermalls in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan gave a total of 800 Christmas baskets to tricycle drivers in Tuguegarao City, underemployed, tanod and health care workers, and street sweepers in Barangay Ugac Sur, Tuguegarao City.
Over at SM City Cauayan, the management distributed 400 Christmas baskets to barangay workers, farmers and senior citizens in Cauayan City in Angadanan and San Augustin, Isabela while SM Supermalls in Pangasinan provided 1,090 beneficiaries with Christmas baskets.
In SM City Rosales, beneficiaries composed of 500 street vendors and sweepers, senior citizens, PWDs, farmers and barangay workers were also given gifts.
The gift-giving is part of SM Supermalls effort to support communities and sectors in need especially persons with disabilities, senior groups, urban poor and indigenous people.
