The construction of an industrial park in Angono, Rizal is set to be completed in 2025, according to Mayor Jeri Mae Calderon.
"The structures will be completed maybe in two years. We are asking for help from the provincial government and national government. We can't do it alone," Calderon said in an interview over the weekend.
Calderon said the 60-hectares commercial hub dubbed as "Life Industrial Park for Angono Dream, or LIPAD" is located in Barangay Kalayaan at the end of Baytown Road.
She noted that the commercial hub, which was designed similar to the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City, is seen to generate more employment to her constituents.
"Our town will boom economically and, of course, this will provide more income to the local government," she said.
"Secondly, this will generate more jobs, especially to our youth who travel to other places to look for a job," the local chief executive added.
She also said that the construction of a road that connects the towns of Angono, Binangonan and Taytay is expected to be completed by next year.
