DFA defers issuance of e-visa in China
The Department of Foreign Affairs on Friday announced the temporary suspension of the Philippine e-visa system in China.
In an advisory, the department said the e-visa system is "currently undergoing a period of re-assessment to improve future operations, including for its payment processing systems."
The DFA rolled out its e-visa beta testing in Philippine foreign service posts in China last August.
Last month, the test was expanded to all seven foreign service posts in China, with plans to include India before the yearend.
The DFA advised visa applicants in China to contact the nearest Philippine embassy or consulate general for their visa applications and inquiries.
