Quezon City Police District Director P/Brig.Gen. Red Maranan on Tuesday announced his 1st Fun Shoot event scheduled from 1 to 3 December 2023 at the QCPD Firing Range.
Maranan said the event was designed to engage and foster camaraderie among shooting enthusiasts while promoting responsible firearm use.
Recognizing the growing interest in shooting sports within the organization and the community, extends a warm invitation to all individuals with a passion for firearms. He assures participants of an exhilarating experience with marksmanship challenges and friendly competition.
The event aims to provide participating teams with a unique opportunity to showcase their shooting skills in a controlled and enjoyable environment. During the event, participants shall wear shooting attires. Allowed is a minimum of 120 rounds per shooter. Safety measures will be strictly enforced, ensuring that the event aligns with responsible firearm practices and regulations.
The opening ceremony is scheduled for 1 December 2023 at 8:00 a.m., starting at 6:00 a.m. for the registration with a P500.00 registration fee for QCPD personnel, while P1,000.00 for invited participants.
"We are thrilled to invite shooting enthusiasts to join us in this inaugural Fun Shoot event. It's not just about competition; it's about fostering a sense of community and promoting responsible firearm use. We look forward to a day of camaraderie and skill-sharing," Maranan said.
