Citadines-Benavidez occupancy eyed to reach 70% this Christmas

The occupancy rate of the newly opened Citadines-Benavidez in Makati City is projected to reach 70 percent this holiday season or in the third month of its operation.
"In its 2nd month of operation, we are in the state of ramping up our business. For a pre-opening property, we found to rate at least 70 percent of our occupancy by the third month. We are moderately progressing. For the last two months, we have already run at 40 to 50 percent in terms of occupancy," said Cecille Teodoro, area manager of Citadines.
"We are positive on hitting 70 percent by December," she added.
Citadines-Benavidez consists of 207 units designed to meet the needs of both business and leisure travelers. The property opened last 15 September 2023.
Most of the internal guests of the hotel are from Singapore, Australia, Japan and India, while Filipino guests are fond of staycations during weekends.
Teodoro said the rooms that can be occupied at present number 105, and the target is to roll out the remainder of the rooms "so that come January 2024, the property is operating full."
From studio to one-bedroom and two-bedroom units, these serviced apartments are designed with Citadines' signature of creating a space for guests to live, work and play in the same space, which includes a city view, kitchen and work desk, while larger rooms feature a living room and balcony area. The property also provides 24-hour reception and babysitting services.
"So at least this Christmas Season when almost all our rooms would be available, I think our one-bedroom and two-bedroom units would be very popular for those who would want to spend the holidays at Citadines-Benavidez, as our poolside is very attractive and open to see all the fireworks that's going to happen this coming New Year's Eve," according to Teodoro.
Citadines-Benavidez, part of the Ascott Group, which started construction in 2016, is also pet-friendly.
The hotel is the 13th property of the Ascott Group out of the 31 properties in its portfolio.
"Business centers are ready for meetings with strong Wi-Fi connection. Daily breakfast is also available along with laundry and dry-cleaning services so guests can enjoy the stay sans the hassle. On top of that are premium facilities like a fitness corner, swimming pool, function rooms, as well as retail shops to satisfy all interests and needs," said the hotel's website.
