Senator Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa is backing former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte's earlier pronouncement of his possible political return.
"I am strongly supporting FPRRD's plan to run for the Senate in 2025. He still has a lot to offer to the Filipino people as a legislator," Dela Rosa told reporters.
Duterte said he would postpone his retirement and return to politics if the talks in the House of Representatives to oust her daughter, Vice President Sara Duterte, are carried out.
The Vice President also expressed support for any political plans her father may have, adding that "the family supports him."
