Quezon City Police District Station 13 (Payatas Bagong Silangan) has put behind bars three hold-up men, including one who was also slapped with direct assault for defying a police officer.
QCPD PS-13 Commander P/Lt. Col. Leonie Ann dela Cruz, identified the suspects as Effren Bofill, 28 years old; Mark Joseph Felipe, 33; Dan Alvin Desalit, 31 and Lorna Cortez Felipe, 51 years old.
They are all residents of Brooklyn. Payatas, Quezon City.
Dela Cruz said at around 1 p.m. on 14 November, along JP Rizal Street, Barangay Bagong Silangan, Quezon City, victims Yhansie Madriaga Valenciano and John Anthony Patano were on their way home when suspects Bofill, Felipe, and Desalit onboard a Yamaha Mio suddenly appeared and forcibly took the victims' cellular phones, then fled towards an undisclosed location with the loot.
The victims reported the incident to PS 13, which immediately conducted a follow-up operation.
