Clark Freeport — The Clark International Airport Corporation announced that the country's biggest agricultural food trading hub will be built inside the Clark civil aviation complex.

CIAC president Arrey Perez said that the proposed Clark National Food Terminal project will be constructed in a 64-hectare portion near the Clark International Airport.

"We will soon enter into a joint venture partnership to build the $152-million agriculture trading hub inside the Clark civil aviation complex. The project will support the national government's vision to make the Philippines a leading agricultural resource hub in the region and the world," Perez said.

"The project is aligned with the call of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to place food security at the forefront of the country's national agenda," he added.

He added that part of the Marcos administration's top priority is the food security of the country, which the President revealed during the United Nations World Economic Forum annual meeting last January with a "vision for a prosperous, resilient, and secure Philippines by the year 2040."
