In accordance with the directives of Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Jaime J. Bautista for Oplan Biyaheng Ayos Undas 2023, commercial airports managed by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) around the nation have established and activated Malasakit Help Desks (MHDs).
This is in preparation for a surge in travelers at commercial airports in significant cities and provinces across the nation as Filipinos return home for the upcoming Synchronised Barangay and SK Elections and Undas, also known as the All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day holidays.
CAAP airports will distribute Malasakit Help Kits to arriving and departing passengers. CAAP will initiate the distribution of Malasakit Help Kits to passengers as an act of appreciation for their continued patronage of the country's airports.
The Malasakit help desks will serve as a one-stop shop for passenger assistance in airports. Malasakit Help Kits are regularly distributed by CAAP during the height of the implementation of Oplan Biyaheng Ayos and other holidays and special occasions such as Mother's Day, International Women's Day, Valentine's Day, and campaigns in dense transit seasons such as Christmas, Holy Week, and school opening.
