The Commission on Elections reported on Wednesday that it has attained 100 percent delivery of accountable forms in five regions for the upcoming barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections.

The COMELEC confirmed that the accountable forms have successfully arrived in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Region I, Region II, Region III, and Region V.

As for the scheduled deployment and delivery of official ballots and automated election systems-related items for use in the "pilot areas" regarding the automated BSKE, today is the expected implementation date.

Barangay Pasong Tamo in District 6 of Quezon City, with 60,766 voters; and Barangays Paliparan III and Zone II in Dasmarinas City, Cavite, with 51,435 and 1,475 voters, respectively, are among the pilot locations for automated polling.

The agency is currently awaiting confirmation regarding the completeness of the arrival of accountable forms for Regions IX, X, XII, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao or BARMM.

The COMELEC assured earlier that it will prioritize the deployment to the remote areas with assistance from the Philippine National Police, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and the Philippine Coast Guard.

The official ballot distribution and other election materials are planned to take place in Metro Manila from Thursday to Friday.
